Fine: The KORDON Fine Mist-Air airstones provide a beneficial fog of minute air bubbles in salt water just like the natural environment in coral reef surge channels. They are very effective as a sparger airstone in saltwater protein skimmers and biological waste skimmers. Fine porosity remains easy to clean.

Medium: The KORDON Medium Mist-Air airstone's porosity delivers a bubble size that is ideal for general use. If you are unsure of which MIST-AIR airstone to use, try the Medium porosity first. Offers a good compromise between back-pressure and bubble size...offers good range of versatile uses and placements.

Coarse: The KORDON Coarse Mist-Air airstone's porosity operates with a very low back pressure, allowing it to be used with air pumps which deliver a minimum of pressure. Good for installations where the airstone is placed deeper within the tank. Course bubbles move more water and are, therefore, usually best for creating air columns for undergravel filters. They are most beneficial for removing toxic gasses (such as ammonia) from the water.
