Kent Marine Reverse Osmosis Filtration Unit
The KENT Marine full size reverse osmosis unit is the most economical on the market for the smaller needs of experienced hobbyists with medium sized tanks. It comes with a TFC (Thin Film Composite) membrane, a 1-micron sediment pre-filter and a solid carbon block pre-filter rated to remove up to 2 ppm chlorine for 3,750 gallons.

This unit can filter up to 24 gallons per day, removing 90-94% of contaminants found in tap water. .

    Kent Marine TFC Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier Features:
  • Includes garden hose adapter and 6 ft. of ¾" tubing.

The Science of Reverse Osmosis

Water produced from a well or local municipality can contain substances such as ammonia, nitrate, phosphate, silicate, and trace metals that can be toxic to aquatic life. Reverse osmosis (R/O) and resin water purification systems remove these harmful substances by forcing the water through a membrane, under pressure. The membrane forces water to leave its pollutants on one side of the membrane and produce water free of dissolved solids on the other side.
